Worry Free

“Casting all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you.”   - 1 Peter 5:7
“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."   - Philippians‬ ‭4‬:‭6-7‬‬‬

Life is full of obstacles that every person encounters at some point or another. Financial needs, health issues, relationship troubles- you name it, the devil will try to inflict you with it! If you have been on planet earth for long, you have come to know that there are many opportunities to worry, but in the Word of God, we are instructed to do otherwise. God gave us tools to avoid falling into the sin of anxiety, worry, and stress.

In 1 Peter 5:7, it tells us the first thing we need to do with our worries and fears. We are to cast them ALL upon the Lord! Every burden you have been wearing, every care you have been carrying, should all be relinquished and rolled into the hands of God the Father. He is the One who can handle your worries no matter the size! No problem is too big for the Almighty One!

Secondly, Philippians 4 describes what should be done in the place of worrying and fretting. Instead of being anxious about things, pray. Give God the glory. Go about your day thanking Him for His goodness, His faithfulness, and praise Him for the victory! You will walk in the perfect peace of God when you do as the Word says!

Every day we choose whether we are going to walk by faith and stay in peace or fall into fear and be full of worry. Refuse to focus on the stresses of life and the problems you may be facing. Settle it in your heart and mind today to release all your worries and abide in the perfect peace of our loving Savior!

Love,
