Your Bondage Breaker

"The crowd rose up together against them, and the chief magistrates tore their robes off them and proceeded to order them to be beaten with rods. When they had struck them with many blows, they threw them into prison, commanding the jailer to guard them securely; and he, having received such a command, threw them into the inner prison and fastened their feet in the stocks. But about midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns of praise to God, and the prisoners were listening to them; and suddenly there came a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison house were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone's chains were unfastened."                                                                               Acts 16:22-26 NASB

Have you ever gone through a time in your life where it felt like darkness was all around? Like all hope was lost and there was no way out? Paul and Silas did. They had been thrown into prison for sharing Jesus with a girl who was bound by the devil. They were beaten and mistreated. It looked like it was their darkest hour. They could have despaired and felt like they were never going to escape the chains that were binding them. They could have griped and complained to God, but that is not what they did. Paul and Silas began to praise! In the middle of their dire situation, they chose to pray and sing songs of praise unto the Lord. God heard their praises and caused a great earthquake to shake the prison. All of the doors were opened and the chains that had been binding them fell to their feet! God set them free!

God wants to do the same thing for you that He did for Paul and Silas. He wants to set you free! If you feel like you are being bound by the chains of financial hardship, begin to praise His Name. If you feel like you are being held captive by the mental oppression of the enemy, begin to praise. If you feel like the situation you are going through seems impossible, praise Him! No matter what it is that you may be facing Jesus is the answer. Just begin to worship and praise the Lord, and watch the chains fall away, and the walls that have held you captive be demolished! Jesus is the bondage breaker and He can set you free today!

Love,
