Faith Speaks

"And Jesus answered saying to them, "Have faith in God. Truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be taken up and cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is going to happen, it will be granted him. Therefore I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be granted you. Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father who is in heaven will also forgive you your transgressions. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father who is in heaven forgive your transgressions."    Mark 11:22-26

Faith speaks. Jesus said whoever speaks to the mountain and tells it to move from here to there will see the results. You have to speak to your mountain. He didn’t say to think about it. He didn’t say to worry about it. No, He said to speak to it. Tell the mountain what to do. Now the mountain doesn’t have to be an actual mountain. Jesus is not telling you to go move Mount Everest. No, He is speaking about the mountains in your life. We all have different mountains we face. Some people have mountains of debt in their lives, some people have mountains of fear and anxiety, and some people have mountains of sickness and disease. We all have them, but the good news is that Jesus said your mountain can be moved- if you will start doing what He tells you to do in His Word.

If all you do is think about the mountain, if all you do is contemplate the mountain, stare at the mountain, try to figure out the mountain- - -The mountain will NEVER move! Jesus didn’t say to do any of those things. What did He say? He said to speak to the mountains in your life, and He mentioned it more than once. Speaking the right words is an important step in putting your faith into action. You can either speak TO your mountain or you can speak ABOUT your mountain. What you decide to do will make the difference in whether or not the mountain moves or stays in your life.

Remember, there is no mountain too big, too high, or too insurmountable for you in God. Learn to do what Jesus said and speak the right things over your life. If you do that, the mountains you face will not be able to stay. Speaking faith over your mountains will cause them to move out of your way!
