The Gift Of Love

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that was whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life."     -John 3:16

Christmas is the season of giving, and there was no greater gift given to mankind then the birth of a baby born to be our Savior. God could have chosen to save the world in many different ways, but He chose to send His own Son in the form of an infant many years ago. Sweet and innocent, Jesus came one cold December night to live to die and shine a light for a lost and dying world.

This Christmas, let us remember the true meaning behind the holiday. It is not about getting, it is about giving! John 3:16 says that it was because of God’s great love for the world that He gave His Son. True love gives. Choose to allow the love of God to resonate in your heart and through your life so the world may see the light of Christ in you and desire to draw near to Him. The only way the world will ever know the truth is if we keep our focus on the real reason for the season.

During this time of year it can be easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the holidays- the presents, the lights, the cookies, and trees-but never lose sight of the true meaning of CHRISTmas! The reason we celebrate is because we received the greatest gift the world has ever received- Jesus! Let His example inspire you to give the gift of love this holiday and every day so that the world might see Jesus in you!

Love,

Brittany
