Time To Seek God
" For the eyes of the Lord search back and forth across the whole earth, looking for people whose hearts are perfect toward Him, so that He can show His great power in helping them." -2 Chronicles 16:9 TLB
"But the salvation of the righteous is from the LORD; He is their strength in time of trouble. The LORD helps them and delivers them. . ." -Psalms 37:39-40 NASB
It's hard to believe a New Year is almost here. Like the old saying goes, time truly does seem to fly! That is one reason it is so important to take advantage of every second God has blessed us with! Don't let a day go by without thanking God for it! Time is precious, and we are in charge of how we use it. We can use it to draw close to our Heavenly Father, to bless those around us, to strengthen our family relationships, or we can choose to waste our time on foolish things that bear no fruit in our lives. Determine to make this next year, a year full of time well spent for God!
As you go into 2020, make sure you do not carry the regrets, mistakes, or disappointments you may have experienced in the past with you. Lay them all down! God has good things in store! We have brand new opportunities awaiting us. God has given us all a blank slate to work with! No matter what may have happened in your life in the past, choose to trust God and obey His Word in the present. God promises in 2 Chronicles 16:9 to show His power to the one who will seek Him with a pure heart, and He will be faithful to do it!
As believers, we can expect God to be with us for every step of life's journey. He never neglects us, forsakes us, or abandons us! No, God stands by His righteous ones! He is there to help, He is there to uphold, and He is there to deliver you in everything you must face! Look into the coming year with eyes of faith. Expect God to work in your life as you seek Him. Expect Him to work on your behalf. Expect Him to make a way for you in whatever you are facing. He is faithful to save, deliver, and set free! When we do our part and take the time to seek His face, we can expect to see His great power help us everyday of our lives not only in this year, but in every year until He returns!
