He Will Renew Your Strength

"Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth does not become weary or tired. His understanding is inscrutable. He gives strength to the weary, And to him who lacks might He increases power. Though youths grow weary and tired, And vigorous young men stumble badly, Yet those who wait for the LORD Will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles, They will run and not get tired, They will walk and not become weary."    -Isaiah 40:28-31 NASB

Sometimes our lives can be very stressful. Work, family, friends, etc. keep us busy morning until night. Whether you wake up and head over to the office or wake up and head to the kitchen to feed a pack of kids, we are all faced with no shortage of circumstances that demand our attention as we go about our day. With so much to do, it's not hard to get tired and worn out at times. Actually the devil would like you to spend your life just like that - a frazzled, worn out mess! Thank goodness the Lord gave us a way to escape the daily grind that can be so tiring!

Isaiah 40 describes the strength of our great God. He NEVER gets worn out or tired! He looks after the entire world and doesn't even let that stress Him out. And the good news for us is found in verse 29, "He gives strength to the weary, And to him who lacks might He increases power." God will empower us with the same strength and might that He has! We don't have to let the situations in our lives stress us out because the Lord will give His strength to the person who is lacking might. If you will wait on the Lord and spend time in His presence, He will give you brand new strength - strength you have never known before! That is the awesome God we serve. He is not going to sit and watch you struggle to get by day by day. No! If you will wait for the Lord you will be revitalized! When you feel like giving up, He will give you the strength to keep on going! You will be able to run and keep on running because the power, strength, and might of the Almighty One is lifting you up like an eagle that soars on the wind!

Love,
