3 Scriptural Ways You Can Be Healed

The anointing mixed with faith.

Mark 5:25-29 - "A woman who had had a hemorrhage for twelve years, and had endured much at the hands of many physicians, and had spent all that she had and was not helped at all, but rather had grown worse — (We can see here nothing changes) after hearing about Jesus, she came up in the crowd behind Him and touched His cloak. For she thought, 'If I just touch His garments, I will get well.' Immediately the flow of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of her affliction."

Well, verse 24 tells us, “… a large crowd was following Him and pressing in on Him.” That means there were a whole bunch of people touching Him, but the that power went into her and nobody else felt it.

Verse 30-31 – “Immediately Jesus, perceiving in Himself that the power proceeding from Him had gone forth, turned around in the crowd and said, 'Who touched My garments?' And His disciples said to Him, “You see the crowd pressing in on You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’””

Verse 34 - "And He said to her, 'Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace and be healed of your affliction.'” It doesn’t say My power made you well.

See, with God, it doesn’t matter how many people are tugging on His garments; the only one who gets anything is the one who believes.

So the power was there and it was transferred into her but the only reason she received was because she believed. Sometimes we think that Jesus healed everyone every place He went, but that is not the truth. The difference between the ones that receive and the ones that don’t is what they believe.

Faith alone.

John 4:46-50 – “Therefore He came again to Cana of Galilee where He had made the water wine. And there was a royal official whose son was sick at Capernaum. When he heard that Jesus had come out of Judea into Galilee, he went to Him and was imploring Him to come down and heal his son; for he was at the point of death. So Jesus said to him, “Unless you people see signs and wonders, you simply will not believe.” (Again, things never change) The royal official said to Him, “Sir, come down before my child dies.” Jesus said to him, “Go; your son lives.""

Jesus’s answer to this man was “Go; your son lives”. You may want it a certain way. You may say, “God make it easy for me. Let me wake up one day and just be totally well.” That probably isn’t doing to happen; it seldom does. This guys wanted God to come to his house and heal his son so he is immediately faced with a decision: Do I believe that or do I not believe that? Well, he believed. Verse 51 - The man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him and started off. As he was now going down, his slaves met him, saying that his son was living.”

Healing initiated by God.

John 5 is where Jesus in by the pool called Bethesda. This was a place where anybody who needed healing could come and an angel of the Lord would come down at certain seasons and stir the water and whoever got in first, got healed. Jesus sees, “A man was there who had been ill for thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he had already been a long time in that condition, He said to him, “Do you wish to get well?” The sick man answered Him, “Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up, but while I am coming, another steps down before me.” Jesus said to him, “Get up, pick up your pallet and walk.” Immediately the man became well, and picked up his pallet and began to walk.

Now, this man did not initiate this healing. Jesus initiated it for him. This seldom happens. Most of the time you will develop your faith or live with what you’ve been dealing with.

As a side note, verse 14 tells us, "Afterward Jesus found him in the temple and said to him, ‘Behold, you have become well; do not sin anymore, so that nothing worse happens to you.'" Regardless of what people say about certain things, He is not the kind of person that is going to allow you to do anything you want and stamp His approval on it. Notice Jesus didn’t say, "Don’t worry about it, grace covers it." He says, "Stop it! Or the devil will take advantage of you."
